Under a hot sun today slowly a restored riverside path between Barking and Ilford crept a little further. Although the distance can be traversed from where we’ve started at little Ilford to the railway bridge and Barking beyond. The terrain over this stretch has been quite wild. It’s really exciting to see possibilities open up for what had seemed to previously have been a largely forgotten space. Hopefully it will become a treasured resource for the community, and help to announce the Roding to the consciousness of the wider world.
